First, I'm not a very good runner. I don't generally run more than about 3 times a week and most of my runs are between 3 and 6 miles, mostly on the 3 mile side. My fastest 10k time averaged 8:31 / mile and my fastest, of two, half-marathons is in the 2:30 realm.
Since September 2009 I've been doing most of my running completely barefoot and I love it.
